Gianni, before my time is done, I'm going to get you to like some of the Stand Up songs. That has become my goal in life. Or at least appreciate them live. You don't even like Stolen Away or Steady as We Go? I think they're beautiful songs.

See, I'm not the only crazy one.

Although on the matter, I LOVE the Last Stop. I heard it one time and it became one of my favorites. I especially love the version from the Live at Chicago.

 Not gonna happen my friend. Stolen Away has a nice sax riff, but the song, like the lyrics, are much too repetitive. Plus Carter sounds like a drum machine. Steady As We Go eminds me of a cheesy 80's pop ballad and the line "I would do most anything girl to be the apple of you eye" sounds like it came from an 8th grade creative writing class.

Its just hard for me to like anything off of Stand Up when I love the summer '04 songs so much and think they are miles superior to what they came up with during the SU sessions.

the lyrics cant help but make you happy .

Tim's fills are great. I just never really gave the song a shot. I was always skipping over it when I listened to Some Devil, but now the only song I'll be skipping is Grey Blue Eyes.

Well, technically that could work I suppose. I know alot more people would know more what you said if you said it had a Middle Eastern tone. But hey, its all opinion, I personally love that sort of tone/rhythm, since you don't get to hear it too much in the States.

They opened with DDTW at least four or five times over the years I went to go see them, and it was always fucking great. It really gets the crowd going right off the bat.

All of you people who said captain are batshit crazy. That's a great song. Granted, it's gone downhill (shitty porno style bass line) since it was debuted with tim back in the day, but it's a great song.
