Gianni, before my time is done, I'm going to get you to like some of the Stand Up songs. That has become my goal in life.Nitro1515 wrote:You know I've been giving this song another shot and its definitely not terrible, the lyrics are pretty good, I'll take it off my list.checkii wrote:i see. i love the lyrics and tims fills and am a reggae fan. probably in my top 5 dave songsNitro1515 wrote:The guitar parts are decent, but I'm just not a reggae fancheckii wrote:are you serious? that is one of my favorite songs.Nitro1515 wrote:Alright here is my list:

Can't StopOr at least appreciate them live. You don't even like Stolen Away or Steady as We Go? I think they're beautiful songs.

Its just hard for me to like anything off of Stand Up when I love the summer '04 songs so much and think they are miles superior to what they came up with during the SU sessions.
NICE!Nitro1515 wrote:You know I've been giving this song another shot and its definitely not terrible, the lyrics are pretty good, I'll take it off my list.checkii wrote:i see. i love the lyrics and tims fills and am a reggae fan. probably in my top 5 dave songsNitro1515 wrote:The guitar parts are decent, but I'm just not a reggae fancheckii wrote:are you serious? that is one of my favorite songs.Nitro1515 wrote:Alright here is my list:

and really listen to timmy and dave's riff. musically its really cool. not amazing, but a cool riff and timmy's fill are good.
the lyrics cant help but make you happy .
for me EBWA is just god awful. along with mother father and a couple others. i dont like i did it. but it is a decent pop song, shitty dmb song. but i bet it would be decent D&T (ala ODH, SR, etc)

Tim's fills are great. I just never really gave the song a shot. I was always skipping over it when I listened to Some Devil, but now the only song I'll be skipping is Grey Blue Eyes.checkii wrote:NICE!Nitro1515 wrote:You know I've been giving this song another shot and its definitely not terrible, the lyrics are pretty good, I'll take it off my list.checkii wrote:i see. i love the lyrics and tims fills and am a reggae fan. probably in my top 5 dave songsNitro1515 wrote:The guitar parts are decent, but I'm just not a reggae fancheckii wrote:are you serious? that is one of my favorite songs.Nitro1515 wrote:Alright here is my list:

Although on the matter, I LOVE the Last Stop. I heard it one time and it became one of my favorites. I especially love the version from the Live at Chicago.

i love every song on btcs but the last stop. why? i don't know, i just don't like the indian (i'm sure thats not the right word) tone it has. makes me think of aladin

Well, technically that could work I suppose. I know alot more people would know more what you said if you said it had a Middle Eastern tone. But hey, its all opinion, I personally love that sort of tone/rhythm, since you don't get to hear it too much in the States.buffjam9011 wrote:MakoMako wrote:See, I'm not the only crazy one.paddymor wrote:are you serious?? who are youbuffjam9011 wrote:the last stop.

They opened with DDTW at least four or five times over the years I went to go see them, and it was always fucking great. It really gets the crowd going right off the bat.
All of you people who said captain are batshit crazy. That's a great song. Granted, it's gone downhill (shitty porno style bass line) since it was debuted with tim back in the day, but it's a great song.
