"I’m gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass. Gonna kick some ass in the USA. Gonna climb a mountain, gonna sew a flag, gonna fly on an eagle. I’m gonna kick some butt, gonna drive a big truck. I’m gonna rule this world. I’m gonna kick some ass. I’m gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass. Rock, flag, and eagle!"

the rumors were nothing but rumors and all the hype was purely internet generated. there was no real reason for the fenway shows to be "epic". I've posted this a few times now, but here it is again. I think this is a nice summary of the hype machine that is the internet in relation to the DMB.jmack wrote:there was a rumor that #41 would be debuted and it would be an "epic" show. hopefully that rumor is also false. thanks for uploading the song, sounded weird to hear dave signing that low, but i'm sure it was a fun atmosphere.MartiniTime wrote:rumor has it that Dave liked covering it so much they're planning to keep it through the tour. And afterwards, bring it in to the studio, with Neil on backing vocals.

Yeh I agree that dave was stretchin it trying to sing that low, but it didn't sound awful. I just don't think we're used to hear him singing that low. Carter has a pretty high voice, though, I'm not sure if that would have sounded better. Maybe he could have sang it an octive higher? Oh well, i don't think it really matters. It was probably only a one time thing.checkii wrote:anyone else think carter would have done a much better job singing the verses?lakerhoc1121 wrote:checkii wrote:i dont think he has the right voice for thsi song.

it sounded like dave was singing very close to what his speaking voice sounds like.Taylor2885 wrote:Yeh I agree that dave was stretchin it trying to sing that low, but it didn't sound awful.
