You're a jack-ass. I'm trying to help you people out and I can GUARANTEE you that Slow Gold is unbelievable. For $50 you get a tool that lets you loop any part of any song and slow it down to any speed you like without losing pitch. Ever try to nail the Jimi Thing solo from Luther College?? It's nearly impossible. With Slow Gold I've been able to slow his solo down to 50% and make sense out of the tab now. Now, I almost have the whole solo down note for note. Obviously, I don't have down at Timmy's speed yet, but it will come. Without Slow Gold I couldn't have figured out this solo in a million years.shess22 wrote:Sounds like an incredible waste of $50....
Go ahead, laugh off the advice I'm passing along.......just go back to banging your heads against the wall the same old way you have been.
Buy this thing and I guarantee you that your DMB riffs will never sound better.

Haha, alright man. Maybe you should just calm down. Sure, it sounds like a great program, and I'm glad that it has helped you, and probably a lot of other people with learning guitar. But $50 for that? I just don't see it being worth that.IronMike778 wrote:You're a jack-ass. I'm trying to help you people out and I can GUARANTEE you that Slow Gold is unbelievable. Sorry, didn't realize $50 was so back-breaking to some people. But if you're going to spend hours and hours trying to nail these songs the CORRECT way, then I say it's money well spent.shess22 wrote:Haha, alright man. Maybe you should just calm down. I am not saying $50 dollars is back-breaking to me, at all. I just wouldn't spend it on this. There are however, PLENTY of people that $50 on something like this would be back-breaking, so for you to not realize that is completely ignorant.IronMike778 wrote:Sorry, didn't realize $50 was so back-breaking to some people. Or you know you could watch Pat's videos for free and learn to play the correct way.IronMike778 wrote:Sorry, didn't realize $50 was so back-breaking to some people. Pats videos are fantastic and I've gotten a lot from them. But last time I checked, he hasn't posted every part of every song.shess22 wrote:I am not saying $50 dollars is back-breaking to me, at all. I could care less if people check it out. But when some knucklehead fires back with "sounds like a waste of money to me", then yeah, I'm going to respond. Maybe if he thought it sounded like a waste of money then he should have kept his mouth shut. For one thing, it's not a waste of money, ESPECIALLY if you're trying to learn someone like Dave with his crazy strum patterns, slaps, etc. It's a tremendous way to slow down the difficult parts and see EXACTLY what he's doing.checkii wrote:dude, WTF do you care if someone wants to check it out or not? you posted, good for you and thanks, but dont go all postal cause people dont

people dont learn the same way. thats like telling everyone in your class to learn the material the same way. everyone learns different and studies different, so to you, sure its a great program, but maybe to shess, its not. maybe he prefers to watch one of Pat's videos to get it down. just because he learns differently/likes different methods doesnt mean you should open fire on himIronMike778 wrote:I could care less if people check it out.
