i agree and disagree - i live in a philly suburb and i really considered going down, but i knew it would be way too crazy and packed - it would have been nice to see longer sets, but brock is right, thats not what it was about - and they did a great job of really stressing their points, i'm sure everyone that watched or went in person is much more aware of whats going on in africa, and with G8natedawg wrote:I honestly don't think I missed out on much with this concert. I have an apartment in Philadelphia that is one block from the art museum they played at, however I didn't go because I couldn't get off work. Now that I see the set they played, I am not as bummed out. Of all the bands, the only ones I would have wanted to see was Dave and Linking Park, but everyone played such short sets, so I would have stood around for 8 hours to hear roughly 40 minutes of music I cared for. They should have had seperate stages so each performer could have done more of a complete set, even if that meant 6 or 7 songs, that still seems more well rounded than 3 or 4. Just my thoughts though.

it makes the fact that her dad is trying to save poverty-stricken Africans irrelevant obviouslyYou_Enjoy_Myself wrote:paulaitchison wrote:back to the "whos bob geldof question "

Are you saying just anyone could go? Tickets in the U.K. (all 250,000 of them) were distributed via a lottery. You had to text at £1.50 a time to see if you won a ticket. Some people texted a hundred times before they got a ticket. Where do you think the money went from those text sales? It was not just about the music.
