So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

thats a pretty basic dave chord so if you plan on playing more DMB, the best thing to do is keep stretching it and you'll feel comfortable in no time

There are multiple ways to play the same chord - this is how I play that chord, and it sounds pretty damn good. I've played it innumerable times to recordings of Dave and it matches up just fine.

I don't know, that's a pretty different sounding chord if you ask me. And I think the high G (played in the correct chord with your pinky on the b string) sort of makes it.

The two positions of the G in the 2 chords make very little difference in the sound, from what I can hear. And anyway, the chord that is in the picture is much easier to play for someone that can't reach to make the more accurate chord.

BTW, I think i'm gonna play it with the right chord now. When I learned this song from this website 3 or 4 years ago I learned it the way it is pictured. But I like the correct chord.

You're right on how he plays it... though I could have sworn I've heard it differently (even though you can't really hear the difference... lol.)
