This is a recording i did with a friend. i played the lead. this is a cover. Rivertown
Anyone that play bass, violin, or drum wanna add another layer to this? Please.
If you do, please save the layer of your instrument as a seperate file, dont mix it with the original.

The timing on the lead is incredibly off in the intro.
Edit: Get rid of the lead altogether. The rest of it is either off or just sort of bad. Especially if you're going to add any other instruments to the song.

Have you ever thought about checking out some lessons from someone? A few tips and pointers and hands-on help might be just what you need.Tranman66 wrote:Yes a lot to learn.... Its my 7th month playing guitar.. and i selflearn. ah well,

i agree man, but i dont have time and i hate the pacing of a teacher. I dont know, i really like being independent with this. I will have to check out videos and books, and this site helps a ton. Besides, i am moving at a very fast pace right now. I haven't seen anyone who plays for 6 months and get down stuffs on guitar as good as i am, :::apply differently to this board lol::: I know people who take lessons and they are going no where. I always want to improve, so i guess over time i am gonna be better and better. My dad is an amazing Classical player, but he never shows me anything...You_Enjoy_Myself wrote:Have you ever thought about checking out some lessons from someone? well, even if you want to go fast, any teacher you get...well, they arent teachers for nothing. they can all play and they can go as fast as you can in terms of the pace of learning, so i dont see how thats an excuse.

Timing is inherent most of the time. You see some little kids dancing to a beats, some dance like hippies. Having said that, you can improve with practice though.
Straight up, you're not good enough to make up your own solos right now, however basic. You want to get better? Learn other solos, and be able to play them along with the recording EXACTLY. Learn scales. Practice scales. I don't know if you know any solos by any pros, but I'd be willing to bet it's 2 or less. EVERY guy I know who is good at lead started playing along with their favorites, eventually blending all of that into their own style. You need to crawl before you can walk.
