Some songs don't call for a groove. Sounds like you're describing a punk or a metal line-- not the most groove-oriented music. Trying to play a Motown groove over a hardcore punk song wouldn't quite work.
true. but then to me it seems like punk/metal aren't the best kinds of music either.street fish wrote:GSRLessard14 wrote: yeah, but what i mean is bass players that don't create a groove. 555555555577777777773333333333 as fast as you can doesn't seem like a groove to me.

It depends what the song calls for. I sure hope Stefan comes up with a bass line just like that. Then again, for all you know, it could be a great song.GSRLessard14 wrote:true. but then to me it seems like punk/metal aren't the best kinds of music either.street fish wrote:GSRLessard14 wrote: yeah, but what i mean is bass players that don't create a groove. 555555555577777777773333333333 as fast as you can doesn't seem like a groove to me.

but is it so irrealiztic. I mean Carter is my drumming god and he plays crazy-easy beats on some songs. Beats that you learn as your first actually drum set experience. I dont mind.Macht wrote:saying "would you hate it if your god played in the song?" is dumbBeauford33 wrote:It depends what the song calls for.
