that sucks bud..i know your pain to some extent, i cut into the entire calluous and part of the regular flesh of my middle finger on the left hand at work about a month ago...i freaked out and my manager asked if it really hurt, i told him i was just pissed b/c that i couldnt play probably...luckily with a weeks time i could slowly get back into it..do what you can with the finger when you feel up to it, in the mean time....um...learn to play the harmonica...

Good advice Kevin, learning how to play slide guitar is a great idea; on the flip-side though, & not everyone will agree w/ me on this, but about once a year I'll stop playing guitar for about a month or so....I don't why, but for some reason after I take a break from it, when I do pick it up again, I'm better than I was. Not playing for a month might not be the best advice for everybody, but it works for me.
