stopping by the guitar shop later..any certain pics you guys recommend for playing dave songs? this will be my last post about pics in general. later guys, bo

I like to use the Jim Dunlop nylon 0.60 mm (the light grey one)

dave uses the orange tortex... i find that i ware those out way too fast so i dont usually use those .. but they are definitely good.. howie day uses them as well (i got one from mister day himself)

ya i use the same ones as xoosh, as well as fenders

yuck to fender picks. i break those things left and right. Dunlop is the way to go.

I personally recommend Jim Dunlop Gel's Medium's (the purple one) They last forever with some abuse.

yeah, i use the Jim Dunlop "Big Stubby" 3.0 mm pick, it may be big, but it has little wear on it and ive been using it for over a year. It sounds awesome too, it may make the pick sound a little more obvious, but thats ok with me

amen to that, fender picks don't last more than five minutes with me. just recently i stole one from my guitar class at school, and when i pulled it out of my pocket when i got home the tip was already broken off. pieces of shit i tell you. i use dunlop tortex .5 mm (the reds) or the oranges if its all i can find.

I always break fender picks after a couple of days max. Thats why I switched to nylon. Cuz they dont break.

i think its retarded to use a pick for bass
well, sometimes it sounds better, but i know people who use them on every song, im just lik: 'NO!'

i guess i like the "bass" picks cause i played bass for quite a few years, my fingers are used to it

i use dunlop tortex reds(.5) and oranges(.6), at first all i had was fenders and i broke all but the thickest one, and then broke my doobie bros. and styx guitar picks.... tortex are the only ones i havent broken that ive tried
