i read somewhere that before sister dave said something about feeling "shaky" about the show. not sure of the exact quote, but he might of been under the weather

well i know that the reason for him smoking was because he was having a baby and so the big talk about it was that he would be able to hit the high notes again

I was there. It was my first DMB concert. Daves voice was quite horrible in the beginning. He messed up on all the high notes in crash and satellite, pretty embarassing.
One could really hear that he was struggling, and from then he tried to play it safe, didnt go for the high notes or screams.
It seemed to get better during the concert, but then on Louisiana Bayou, he had a serious blackout or something. At least five times he totally lost the rythm and sang in the wrong places. Did this happen to him before on this song?

Before the encore, he apologized for being "shaky". Maybe its because of the jetlag, he mentioned that they had just come from the other side of the world.

Other than Daves mess-ups, it was a good show. 'The Maker' was awesome, Crush too.

smoking definetly does not help singing what so ever. some people try and argue that it has good effects at first, then badly effects in the long run, which is pretty much BS.

the only reason i dont think his recent vocal problems are due to smoking is because if u have listened to pretty much any of his new D+T stuff his voice is clear and he hit the high notes pretty easily.......his voice was the best i have heard it in a couple years

well i just listned to crush and i think that it was a bad version... now dont jump all over me because i threw an opinion out there.... i think that mabey since it has been a while since the band played that this is happening... not much of a jam or anything and daves voice did sound a little shaky... like someone earlier said, i hope that it is just a one or two time deal...

I'm thinking he's just sick, hoping rather. But consider the band travels from show to show, and they do have to practice a lot, it probable would be kind of hard for him to recover as quickly over something simple. But I'm hoping it just a not-so-bad illness he'll get over soon.

I agree that crush was not the greatest vocally or bandwise and i also agree that dave is not in the greatest situation to recover quickly if he is sick.....but if you listen to crush or seek up its so obvious when dave tries to hit scream its just not coming out right
