Cannonball w/ Femal Vocalist
Me on guitar and female singer. I recorded this last year and we were limited on time. The only thing is the guitar is off in spots because I played this capo 8 to match her voice better and it was pinching my hand hitting some of the chords. Hopefully you'll enjoy it!

very solid cover. That chick has some nice pipes and it works very well for this song. The simplicity kinda gets old at times, a nice cello or paino beat would sound good in there, but I understand you may not have those resources. This song seems to be covered alot on these boards and I never have to even wonder why.. so beautiful. Thanks for posting.

Pretty good man. The vocalist has a really nice singing voice, but I don't think her tone fit the song too well. I'm not saying she couldn't get there, but you know how DR has a sort of defeated, sad tone to his voice? I mean, if you read the lyrics the song is pretty depressing...it's not a celebration. I don't know exactly what he was thinking when he wrote the song, but I'd guess it's either post-affair kind of stuff, or getting to the point of liking someone but pushing them away.
Anyway, solid music, solid cover. Just giving a little constructive criticism.

....
I like her voice, good control on her vibrato.. nothing off...
The only thing I would have changed is her mood when she sang it.. Like the other poster mentioned it's a sad song..... Sing the verses with a little bit more depression.. and I would have liked to hear her let loose at some points.. maybe bring it up a register... buttt I do like her voice.. I'd like to hear her sing something a lil happier...
guitar on most of the time, good job, yeah you could change it up a bit, but if that's not what you're going for in the cover.. then it's not...
