I can't wait to get a bone......saddle put in my guitar. I need the action raised any how cause my present saddle is way to low and buzzes like crazy, which drives me crazy.

Okay, new question then. What brand of bone saddle is it/where did you get it?

The most well-known Martin saddle is made by Maury's, so I was wondering if that's the one you got.

definitely one-ups your sound, but have it done right...expect to spend about $100 bucks to have a real high-quality job done...it did wonders for my Gibson though...phenominal upgrade...oh yeah, be really careful who you have do it if you have an under-saddle pickup as the bone saddles being a natural substances often have variances where some spots are denser then others which causes a difference in the vibration and overall volume of the individual strings...

i did my taylor one myself....got a pre-compensated blank from FQMS and then sanded it for fit, action and radius. it takes a really long time, but it's worth the sound, and the not paying $100. i just kept sanding till it was the exact shape of my old taylor saddle.

yes. the saddle was already pre-compensated, and i just sanded it to match the old one's height. the radius was nearly perfect, so i didn't really change the saddle much from what it was.
