A Newbie Question
A Newbie Question
I am currently teaching myself to play the guitar and have a basic question on reading tabs. In the tab below, what are the numbers outside of the strings at the bottom?
Intro/Verse
E:------------------------------------------------
B:------------------------------------------------
G:------------------------------------------------
D:---------8-------6-------5---------------6------
A:-----6-------4-------------------8---4----------
E:-4-------------------8-------6---------------8--
1 2 4 1 2 4 1 2 4 1 2 4
Please be gentle! lol Thanks!

Satellite wasn't the first song I learned, but I did fiddle around with it when I first started playing guitar. I think it is a good song for a begginer to mess around with, for finger stretching purposes... but I agree don't get frustrated if you can't perfect it.AlpineValley wrote:Maybe not the best choice if you are just starting out, but good luckTSilk wrote:I wouldnt start with satellite

It sounds easy to play cause it's just playing individual notes. Then you realize that the stretches will break your hand and your spiritmatts420music wrote:Satellite wasn't the first song I learned, but I did fiddle around with it when I first started playing guitar. honestly...start with crash. as gay as you might think it is...it's a great starting point. it'll stretch teh shit out of your hand, and will really help you work with strumming.
