...but since this only took me the four minutes and ten seconds it will take you to listen, here you go.

I apologize for any semi-inebriated mumblings, and in that vein include lyrics below; I also refuse to accept responsibility, and instead blame the Heineken.

LYRICS:

I'll drown my beliefs to have you be in peace
I'll dress like you wish, and wash your swollen feet

Just don't leave; don't leave

True love waits in haunted attics
and true love lives on lollipops and cribs

Just don't leave; don't leave

I'm not living. I'm just killing time.
Your tiny hands; your crazy kiddin' smile.

Just don't leave; don't leave.
Just don't leave. Don't leave.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

Pretty good, i would like a little reverb on the voice but that's about it. Thom's voice is tough and you do a good job hitting most of the notes.

Guitar is a little sloppy with a few slip ups but like you said, 4 mins and 10 seconds. Redo the guitar and maybe add some light compression to separate it from the voice.

Nice

Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

Not trying to hijack the thread, but because the contest does seem to be dead I'll post the only songs I received for it.

sups08 - Rodeo_Clowns (Jack Johnson)

eliot1171 - Home (Michael Buble)

Also Lyrics, I'll listen to your song, but the link isn't working:

Copy and paste the whole thing. The "(" in Radiohead cuts the link off.

And frankly, if I was going to make a wholly produced version, I might redo some of it, but as it is, I clicked record, played it, and passed out.

I might do a full production sometime, but it won't sound a damn thing like that. :p

Buffs Critique was spot on for me. Like he said, lil reverb, and guitar a lil sloppy/speedy at times..

Vocals were nice and you showed very nice control with your vibrato... share if you ever do the full production.

Appreciate it, especially for a song that's completely out of my comfortable range. I might mess around with some production stuff later this week, since Thom never actually recorded it in a studio after he wrote it.

Sure thing, for you not being comfortable with that tenor range you did a good job....

I love Thoms work, I just wish his head would get back to where it was in his first few albulms...
