I might be wrong but I think its Tim on electric. There are a few more where you really can't even hear the acoustic guitar on crash. #41 comes to mind.

Tim is on electric and Dave is on accoustic. Steve Lillywhite always turned Dave's guitar down to the point that you cant hear it and turned Tim's up. I read somewhere that Steve never thought Dave was really that good of a guitar player so turned his guitar down.

I read he turned Dave down, but never a mention of a lack of ability...

is that tim playing the main riff on 41, or dave? it's the main riff dave plays on the early versions (41 police), but i have noticed more of tim on that album.
