So Much To Say/The Stone Vids (covers)
So Much To Say/The Stone Vids (covers)
Hey guys not sure if you remember me, I posted a few vids awhile back. Anyways I've been told to sing numerous times so I tried out So much to say The stone and made a vid of them. I know I'm not a good singer, and I know I'm off pitch on some parts (chorus of the stone gives me problems, and some parts of SMTS) but I tried.
Anyways let me know what you think. And it's not the whole song, I did like two verses and one chorus on each.

Thanks guys.

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": There are five different types of chairs in this hotel room.
SMTS - I liked the singing, some bits need some help, but overall I thought the singing was good. Same with the guitar, you have it down, but there were some timing issues, but I don't blaming you, that song has to be freakin hard to play and sing at the same time.
The Stone - Again, overall I liked the singing, but sounded off on some parts. Especially the chorus. And your guitar sounds out of tune, maybe that's why your singing sounded a bit off?
Good job dude. Keep it up.

Thanks for the input taparoo...I appreciate it..I didn't tune my guitar before the vids so that could be it, but it's probably my singing...I have very little experience singing + playing, something I've just been doing in the past couple months, but been playing guitar for 5years now in April. And I don't have SMTS quite down yet, just learned it this week. I'll keep working on it.
As for the second comment, doesn't help very much but thanks for watching

sorry i wasn't more insightful
for singing the stone and playing, use some markers to keep your place like the 31X3 chord, since dave usually holds those words longer than others, like "I have this creeping" and "Oh i have done wrong, "it weighs on me" just make sure your singing is in sync with those different words he emphasizes.
Hopefully that makes sense

The voice is a bit breathy and muted like you are worried about waking up your roomate. BELT THAT SHIT!!
The guitar playing is pretty solid on SMTS but as im sure you know, the stone is a bitch to play and sing. I've been playing that song for five years and still won't play it in front of people.
Keep working on it, you said you havent been singing and playing at the same time for long. Just keep doing it, it takes time and practice, thats all.
cheers

Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
