#41 cover at recent show

Unread post by philtheman » Wed Feb 14, 2007 1:51 am

The vocals are mixed really bassy but its cool. For some reason the way that I recorded the show I isolated the crowd so you cant hear them. Tell me what you think. Personally I thought that it wasnt that great, but would love to hear what you think.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

The guitar playing is really good, especially in the intro. Actually it continues to be really cool, very unique way of playing it. It's such a simple riff but you are able to spice it up.

I like your vocals a lot, you have a very musical voice. My only suggestion is try to vary your pitch just a little more because sometimes it gets stuck, almost like youre not sure where to go with it so you stay in one place. You took a unique approach to the song, which is commendable. Just try to come up with a more solid melody and you will have something special on your hands.

Damn the guitar playing is good.

Well Done.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

Thanks, ya the part where it goes "do you wish a dance..." and Remember when I used to play for all the loneliness... " the part goes higher and it gets too high, I cant compete with daves range so I have to kinda make the melody the same throughout, I even tuned down a half step.

Lovley guitar work..

The guitar work is lovely... I like your voice, but have to admit It sounds better on your original material.. The vocals leave something to be desired.. and I wanna hear that yeahhhhhhhh yelled..... And like HF said they get stuck....work on your range with this cover..

I like your style, keep doing your thang...

This is live right? What up with the crowd at the end?
