i've pretty much got the strumming down for verse, though it was a little tricky, anyways i am trying to record a track with some fills on it since just the verse by itself can get a little tiresome after a few minutes, i had a friend who taught me some basic scale, but i dont really get it all that much, how do you know which notes to stay with to accompany a song and make it sound good? LYD in particular, thanks

You need to know which Key the song is in , or you can pick out single notes from the chords , that works too , but im not the best at explaining theory here so i'll let someone like FatJack help you out
FatJack where are you bro ? We got a code 49721 here , please respond

once you learn some scaled and whatnot, this could help you with some riffs.
