Crush - Storytellers

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Crush - Storytellers

Unread post by jsgksu » Tue Jan 21, 2003 12:13 am

Does anyone have a good tab of the ending jam of Crush on Storytellers? The part when Dave and Tim play in unison with the mutes between strums, if the tab on this site is the part Im talking about does anyone have a video of it because I cant seem to play it very well at all. Thanks.

Code: Select all

Ending

This is the ending from VH1 Storytellers.

Repeat these first two lines as desired, and at some point instead of playing the second line switch to the part after this.

e:----------------------------------------------------------------|
B:----------------------------------------------------------------|
G:-----------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4------------x-x-x--4--4---4-4-4---|
D:-----------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2------------x-x-x--4--2---2-2-2---|
A:---2--2----x-x-x--2---------------2--2----x-x-x--2--------------|

A:-----------x-x-x--2-----------------------x-x-x--2--------------|
d:---2--2---------------------------2--2--------------------------|

The next part comes in right where the second line in the above part would, and is tabbed out through the end of the song. Dave and Tim both play the same first line of this part, which has a really cool effect.

he's the man. That's so fuckin' fun to play too, me and my buddy used to always play that together. Of course we'd always play the same parts but sometimes one of us would do something different. It's such a great song anyway - its actually the first full Dave song I ever learned - although I played it will all standard chords, it was still the song. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I've been away from this song too long and now I'm getting back "into it"

peace
good, and you?

Yes, definitely, girls love this song. The thing is, it's really easy to play and even easier to sing, so the joke is on them! Haha!

except, when you laugh after 'the joke is on them', you have to make sure you laugh just like daves impression of his south african friend laughing while setting fire to the cave crickets (Storytellers)
Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."
