Yeah, I've been kinda away from this place for a while. I peek my head in every now and then, and comment on the occassional recording. I mainly post over at ufck. I'm working on original stuff now, and arrangements and stuff like that. College has treated me very well musically.
ill say... (checkin out your site currently)

your writing has really progressed, i love both of these. the second one more-so. these are beautifully produced, i just wanna say make sure you keep your eyes on the prize, dont over-produce. neither of these are there yet, but the writing is somewhat lost in the first one imo.

beautiful work pat, you have an amazing simplicity, just dont lose it man

Both of those are covers, of Josh Ritter and Sufjan Stevens respectively. They are two of my favorite songs lyrically, and I'll be lucky to ever get halfway close to either of them.

I should have noted they were covers, sorry. I just arranged them differently. I didn't change too much on the first one (Josh Ritter), but I did write the little instrumental part.

The second one (Sufjan Stevens) is originally banjo and trumpets. I took it upon myself to compose cello parts and play a little piano. It's considerably different from the original.

Thanks for the comments, though. I appreciate that you listened to them. I'll post originals in the future.

It is nice that you didn't stick to the original and your voice rocks!

Great!

PS: Did you memorize all the lyrics?!
