what a mouthful
"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

Not to diss, but I really dont get whats the deal with SMTS. I mean, its not like its a great song, much less a good one. I enjoy listening to it once in a blue moon but, really? I usually listen to it to hear Anyone seen the Bridge. I mean, its three/two different beets?

Yeah, SMTS is a tad uncreative, in that it uses he same riff over and over again wth no variation. Not that other dave songs do the same thing, but are more creative with them.

And listening to Carter is fucking annoying. He must have been sick the day he thought of the groove cause that is downright pathetic for his talent. Though look whos talking right?

They dont go by Live versions so there is no way it could have won. The studio version blows, though I really like the end with the growling. It is just too contained otherwise.

i'd like to see dmb recognized with some more awards....but if they were,,, they run the risk of becoming mainstream, which should never happen. ever.

well they kinda are mainstream, in a way. Truth is, they never lose anyfans and gain a few. They are gonna get real big, but people dont know it. Itll gradully happen. I mean, Dave got a lot of publicity for Some Devil and now he has a Driven. It is happening, but good thing is, he has a lot of devoted fans

You're telling me they aren't big? Just because they aren't on the radio as much or MTV doesn't mean they aren't big. They are huge and constantly sell out concerts...

Thats why they have so many damn followers. Thats right, followers. I was just saying they arent completely mainstream. Thats all. And I am aware Dave is consistanty one of the top three richist bands. Having a song played on the radio means you mainstream. argue with me if you want, just know that I know my shit.
