New first electric

Unread post by philtheman » Tue Dec 26, 2006 2:11 am

Ok so I have been playing acoustic for maybe 2 1/2 to 3 yrs and i am actually pretty good for only playing that long. My main instrument is drums. Anyway ive been in the market for an electric guitar. I foound one that played, sounded, and looked incredible, it was a 72 Telecaster Thinline (obviously reissue) but just wondering what you guys think would be a better or more suitible electric for me, or if you think that that one would be perfect. I can get it a guitar center for maybe around 500-550 cuz i know a guy that works there. They sell for like 689 i think. Also a good high quality AFFORDABLE amp. But anyway, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I am a huge tele fan and the 72's are cool because of the variety of tones you can get with them. I like the four knobs as well as the rhythm/solo switch.

If you like fenders i would try out a fender blues junior for an amp, its small but packs a punch for 399.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
