Bartender

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Bartender

Unread post by fallon222 » Sat Dec 06, 2003 12:13 pm

I am just starting to try this song, using the tab from this site with drop d tuning and a copy of VHI story tellers video to play along with...To the questions
1)Is the song in 4\4 time?
2) Is the rhythmn straight quater notes (downstrums)
3) Are there any tabs for single acoustic performance?
Thanks for taking the time to reply

The rhythm is up and down in a constant movement , there is 2 ways Dave play it though , there is the more funky rhythm which is what he plays at Farm Aid for instance , the one on Storytellers is a constand movement , same tab though

I just wanted to add that there are several styles of how Dave plays the song, but you could call it funky vs. not-funky. When he was playing at Austin City Limits Songwriters Special...he busted out with a Country funk version. I really don't like country music...but this version of Bartender is really good. Just wanted to point that out, and that it is a really hard version to play (for me anyway).

The VH1 version and Busted Stuff are different as stated. It used to just be an intro into DDTW...
