Edit: Alright, this turned out pretty well i think. Whitney has a beautiful voice and I changed up the guitar part.

Hope you all enjoy it.

I thought your voice sounded really good, the guitar part is kinda all over the place

i don't like what you did w/ the rhythm. not sure if it was what you were trying to do to make it different or not, but i wasn't a fan of that part

your voice sounded good as always. low notes are hard, and you did fine w/ them. you were flat at times in the high notes, but that's easily fixable w/ practice.

good job

This is a perfect example of how a collaboration does NOT work out very well. Del's track is horrible and I would redo it yourself. Maybe a MUCH slower fingerpicked track instead of that silly strumming he did. Your vocals would fit the original very well, and thats quite different from how Del approached it. I'd also add another vocal track for the harmonies.

A lot of Damien's music is solely based around the vocals. This recording is the exact opposite. Basically, you can do better. Your voice was pretty good btw

they're being nice, why you would ever listen to his cover and ask for the guitar part is beyond me. its dynamically monotonous and doesnt match the tone or rhythm of the song.

the vocals were decent, but i think rice has the best voice in music today so im probably being harsh.

edit: whit id love to tackle this one with you too if you've got the time.

i just recorded the vocals over del's guitar to show him how it should sound, the guitar wasnt that bad.

Whit and i are going to do it sometime soon, Im going to play the guitar part with a little rhythmic strum and rerecord vocals

keep the guitar part as minimal as possible

the hardest part will be keeping time since there isn't much going on in the song (a constant, steady rhythm)

yeah im struggling figuring out how i want to play it. Im not good at a slow picking throughout an entire song, i like to strum

the new one sounds much better

obviously the vocals aren't as perfect as damien/lisa but thats not really possible...I still thought you guys pulled it off pretty well

the slower guitar part was MUCH better than del's crazy strumming that was completely out of rhythm

the only thing I can critique is the last vocal part because you guys didn't harmonize

damn near perfect. awesome guys. the only thing i would have done was added more reverb to the vocals. other than that, amazing. great great job

edit: and the last harmony didn't work out. but other than that, awesome

that sounded great. guitar part was way better and i thought your voices mixed really well. like speen said you could have harmonized the ending but that is hard to pull off when your not actually recording together
