So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

that's pretty cheap, but still more than I'm willing to spend on a guitar at this point in my life

I would have to assume there is a reserve on it. Not sure whether now is a good time to sell this guitar. This is generally a gift you buy yourself...not someone else

. But, could you imagine finding one of these under your tree

I don't buy it. There isn't a picture and that seems way too cheap.

I was thinking the same thing, and the fact that this guitar sells around 4g's normally
not a member of "bank of mommy and daddy"

I don't think I'd ever want a signature guitar. I mean, it just seems stupid. I guess if it really sounds and plays well then cool, but it seems like people would just get it so when they play tripping billies it sounds like dave.

You have over 2,000 post on a DMB Tabs site and wonder why people want this guitar? I believe part of the reason people want it is because it's a Dave guitar. That probably has some appeal. I mean if it said Britney Spears on it I'm pretty sure you'd have a piece of tape over where it says that. Because above everything else this is just a great great quality guitar. This wasn't like "Let's take a guitar shaped piece of wood and carve Dave Matthews in there and sell it." it's a Martin which is a good brand in the first place. It just happens to be a great guitar. I've heard many non-Dave fans praise the guitar if that helps.

If you ever see a DM3MD up close, you will see just what a stunning guitar it really is. The choice of woods and detailing are amazing. And it is not all looks. The guitar has a wonderful sound...very nice overtones.

You should tell that to all the artists who are trying to make it big or who are famous that use signature guitars or pickups and what not. I know both guitarists from Dragonforce use DiMarzio Steve Vai signature Evolution pickups, seems like a silly thing when you could have something made to your exact specs if you are as well known as them
DMB shows attended: 4/12/05 - Molson Amphitheater, 9/12/06 @ Air Canada Centre.
Upcoming: DMB June 9th 2009 @ Molson Amphitheater
