Arguably the most beautiful song I have ever heard.

Do you guys play it with a pick? I can't seem to hit the string that clearly that quickly. Any suggestions?

i use a pick. i play it from time to time but i always mess it up cuz i get the bass notes backwards and forwards for some reason. great song. just awesome.

i have the benaroya dvd and he plays it on there. i dont download so i can help you. im sure some nice person here can hook you up some how but it is a freakin awesome tune. so simple great.

I second that.

You really don't have to do the alternating 0-2-0-2 on the G string at first. I started out playing it like the second one:
E:---------------------- ----------------------------
B:---------------------- ----------------------------
G:0-2-0-2-0-2-0-2-0- --------2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-
D:--------------------- ---------------------------
A:---------------------- ----------------------------
E:---------------------- ----------------------------

It kind of helps make the rythym easier and once you get that, then you can take your finger off once in a while to make it sound better. Hope that made sense.

It's actually quite easy for me.. once i practiced it.. it's a beautiful song though..

Yeah, I can do it fairly easy also. It's not like Satellite or the Stone where I have to warm up for half an hour first.

yeah... i tried it w/ the pick but couldn't get this accuracy as Dave does,... i just finger pick w/ my index and thumb... works fine and sounds decent too.... nothing too complicated

I use a pick and it's quite easy for me. Sometimes I put a capo on *3 and go straight from loving wings to comfortable (john mayer). It's a good transition, I like it.
