thats just a basic F barre chord -

you lay your index finger across the whole first fret, "barring" all 6 strings, then use your 3rd finger and pinky to fret the 3rd frets on the A and D strings, and then your middle finger to fret the G on the seond fret

It looks like an Fmaj to me, so you could barre (1) with your pointer, ring and pinky on the (3)'s, middle on the (2). Or, you could pull your thumb up and hit (1) and then do same as before with the ring and pinky and middle and then just lay your pointer over strings b and e.

yeah, i used to have a lot of trouble with barre chords. i still dont like them and continue to play Fmaj as xx3211. i just think it sounds better. ill only barre it if that way sounds bad in the song.

Same here , what a drag that was , i can't remember how long i avoided Barre chords , just for the fact that i hated them , but once you learn Barre chords , you notice all the new worlds opening up for you :)

I remember not being able to play barre chords. I remember practicing until I could play barre chords. I remember playing barre chords every chance I could. Now I never play them. In Gravedigger all that is played is 1-3-3-4-x-x index on 1, ring and pinky on 3-3 and middle on 4.
good, and you?

Yeah its rare you see Dave do full Barre chords , the B and e string aren't really necessary in my opinion either , i like the dark tone in only doing the EADG
