Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Are there any cello players (cellists?) in Boston who'd like to jam?
I have a few originals I'd love to add the low sound of the cello to.
tony@dmbvideos.com is my email. Thanks.

What if the cello replaced the bass?

Cello is close enough. The low strings of a Cello, G and C, overlap the high end range of a stand up bass.

The cello is a pretty kickin instrument and is great for soloing on, but it lacks a really groove power to replace the bass.

Upright bassist here, bout 40 minutes out... lookin to work with the cello in the near future. Who knows, give it a month or two and we may have another cellist in the world.
