I can do singing if necessary. Just not right now as I've got some serious congestion and a sore throat.

Okay, so I've volunteered to produce the track, in order to organize this I'd like to try the following. I've put together a track sheet that will help keep everything all nice an tidy (and keep everyone's parts straight!). Basically it breaks down like this...
Two Step
120.362 BPM
Track 0 (Click Track)
Track 1 (Rhythm Gtr. 1)
Track 2 (Rhythm Gtr. 2)*
Track 3 (Bass Gtr)
Track 4 (Lead Gtr. 1)
Track 5 (Lead Gtr. 2)
Track 6 (Lead Gtr. 3)**
Track 7 (Vocal Track 1)
Track 8 (Vocal Track 2)
Track 9 (Vocal Track 3)
Track 10 (Possible Drum Track)
I've got a click track loop that can be used for whomever cares to start this... I'm going to put it up on my webspace as soon as I can do so and I'll link it from here... My thought on how to process all this is as follows:
Lay down the rhythm tracks, I'll put them together and post a WIP file on my webspace. The next players can DL the working file and place it in Cool Edit or the tool of choice and blast out their solos / vocals. Once the raw tracks are all done I'll dump them into my DAW and mix them down.
Now, the only problem is I'm not sure who's doing what... so if you are interested in this just post with what track you'll be taking...
As I told Xoosh earlier today... I'm really excited to be working with the talent here at the boards...
* This is either going to be used for stereo effect or will be used for rhythmic fills.
** We're not limited to 3, I just am guessing at this point.
Cheers!

That is way too complicated man...very cool, but complicated...I don't think I can do it like that because I record via a machine NOT on my computer I can't go through all of these steps...you lost me if we are to do it this way...i await a response from Xoosh...(keep in mind that it really doesn't matter to me with/or without me

Dancer, i orriginally wanted to follow a show song version of it. but i think involving hifi into this will make it even more fun
hifi is the guy who's got the tough stuff to deal with... im goign to be private messaging people to do stuff.. but right now firedancer is doing the main guitar run, and hifi will be producing it. Unless everyone has broadband, let's save the mp3's to 320kbp instead of wavs... 320 will be plenty good enough until the final mix down... unless of course you desire to swap 40mb files
no problem with me.
Hifi, im glad you're taking this on, i was orriginally going to do it
do you want us to remaster volume or send it to you however loud our mics record it? are you also going to be implementing reverb etc.. or do you want us to do that on our side?
/x

TrippnBill686 is correct (hey a spot-on assumption!!
) I only need the raw WAV file for mixing. At this point I'm thinking that just the raw track (no effects) will be best.
As far a volume level's, so long as they are not clipping I can tweak them.
Firedancer... you've got the hardest part at this point as you'll be leading us all... What are you using to lay your track? I'd totally be willing to work with whatever you send me... I think that the only problem we could run into is in the timing... do you have a metronome? I'm sure we can make this work...
Again, I'm really looking forward to this!
Cheers!

That's the plan... still waiting to see if FD still wants to do the rhythm track.waffle_house_jam wrote:if i'm still doing the part i wanted to, if you want me to that is, i'd prefer to have the last cut before it's all mixed together...i'll be doing fill work with pinch harmonics and such, just to provide emphasis when it's needed.
