That sounds like a really sweet guitar. You're probably looking in the $2000+ range for this guitar, but its all built to your specs, and even has your name on it. It sounds like a great idea. The only bad thing that I've heard about the Martin Custom Shop is that it could take 6 months or usuallly longer. Oh, to determine what fingerboard radius you want, just go to a guitar store and play something like an HD-28, a D-35, etc. Then for whichever one you like, just ask the salesperson for the specs on that guitar. That'll give you your answer.
My guitars:
Taylor 714
Taylor 614ce
Martin Sigma DR-41
Epiphone Chet Atkins SST (Ebony)
Danelectro 56-U2 reissue
Fender American Deluxe Strat
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Uhh...... You could look around and get a custom luthier to HANDBUILD you a custom guitar to your specs, and it'll (unless it's a crappy luthier) sound better than a Martin.
I know what I want out of a guitar, and I plan on having a luthier build it for me when I can scrounge up the money (unless I decide to get a Breedlove... mmm) Private luthiers will talk to you about what you want, and probably give you more options than Martin would.
They can get very pricey (I've seen a base price at $6800) but some are very reasonable (ie, $1800 base price). Just look around and make an informed decision about what you want. I just think you'll get more for your money this way.
