other members singing

Unread post by Guitar Cruiser » Sun Nov 19, 2006 5:39 pm

does anybody else thing that any other members of the band should sing some more parts by themselves? i know they sing back up vocals. i mean dont get me wrong dave singing is beyond awesome but boyds part in I Did It is pretty cool i thought. it could bring some more variation to the songs.

Yes, it would but. . I'm kinda biased towards Dave's voice, I loooooooooooooove his voice, it's perfection, wonderful, amazing, inspiring. . .

I could go without ever hearing Boyd sing. And I dont know that the others (Carter aside) ever sing or would even want to.

i sort of think they should leave it to dave, carter for backing vocals when needed, but sometimes i think that its only because thye are so good they dare lets the rest sing the hooks (it can sound really bad when they all sing the "what would you say" or "i did it" line)

I think it'd be nice to hear 'em all sing every now and again. I think it'd be best to leave it primairly to Dave, but its always fun when the rest of the band can get in.

I'm gonna have to say that I love What Would You Say on the Central Park CD. I liked it when they all came in and sang during the chorus, I thought they did a really good job with that one.

Eh, I think it would be cool to hear once in a while, but I think Dave should stay the 'lead' singer. I do like Boyd singin Angel From Montgomery.

yea, dave staying main singer is best... It's neat sometimes when others chime in on certain parts, but i wouldn't like it if like everyone had different parts of the song or something.

as for the post about dave's voice being awesome, i dunno about that lol. I think it ranges from ok to really good depending on the show and how his voice is doing.

I think Carter should sing more, maybe even give him a main part (besides ODH). His voice is amazing.

of course dave singing is by far the best no one can replace him, im just saying everynow and then and just small bits. if they sang to much it just wouldnt have the same feeling to the band, daves singing style makes the band. sorry if i got the wrong message across

I think carter's back up vocals should be turned up a bit, or made louder when they mix the live releases.

I'm not much of a fan of the vocal parts, but I LOVE the jam.
