Good post. One of the reasons I love the soundboard recordings of the band so much is because you can hear every single note Stefan is playing.. my favourites being Warehouse from CP and the Stone from LS.

Excellent post. His bass in Warehouse is the biggest reason that it's my favorite song right now. I like what he does in American Baby, also. But on Warehouse he's just butter.

I agree with everything you said tictacs, his work on Captain is sick too.

Stephan shines on the entire Busted Stuff album. He's finest work compared to the other albums, not to take away from the other album

:D This is why Busted Stuff is my favorite. I like his tone on that album the best as well.

The Stone has long been my favorite song, just went back and listened to it again but really focused on the bassline, he tears that shit up! Like the song even more now.

The last two minutes of this song (Listener Supported at least) where its all quite "Let it all fall down" is so fucking smooth, love his work there.

I think my favorite post in this thread was "he's too repetitive"

HE'S THE GODDAMNED BASS PLAYER.

Part of the "rythm section"

It's supposed to be repetitive.

that was me :D

i'm talking more about the 'jams' that the band does. i actually turned a song off one time because it was retarded how he was playing. it was also during a time where he turned the volume up on his bass so he could be the one that was highlighted during the jam.

i dont know, thats just me though. maybe its just cause i adore the shit out of mike gordon because he can actually be the rythm man while still keeping it different and changing shit up.

Yeah I would like to see him change it up on some jams, but who knows maybe he can't improv like that very well, maybe? And things would fall apart if he shifts from the great backbones he provides to the jams
