Mr. Brightside Cover, First reocording on new Mac Book Pro

Unread post by mangold » Thu Oct 05, 2006 9:32 pm

Hey guys, I just got a new mac book pro i have been saving up for forever and this is my first recording with its built in mic and garageband, which is a jump in quality from a shitty mic plugged into a shitty pc with a shitty audio editor, lemme know what you think.

Love the layered guitars man, well done. Very rythmic. Vocals are great, seriously man, you have come a long way. The "I just can't look" part is great, I can really hear the emotion in your voice.

The "it's just the price i pay" part is a little flat and mellow. Really belt that line, its crucial to the song.

Your singing has become much more fluid which is great.

Good Job on a hard song to cover, but you definitely put your own touch on it and it turned out great.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Its funny you should say that about the "I just can't look/its killing me" line, because that is the one line in the song that really has meaning for me in my life right now, i didnt realize i was singing that stronger until i listened again.

Thanks again!

Everything sounds great!

Guitars are great and your voice is very solid too.

Can't wait to have a Mac. BTW, you just recorded with the built in mic, or did you plug your guitar into the mic input?
