idea of you will be such a hit,
shotgun would be great,
sister should be left very simple.
give it away a quiet one
cast stop, re-dux or gone
break free is such a cool song
and kill the kingis to complex to really sound tight (verse) but thats what studio does best, plus the left over stand up tracks.,
ive money on 40 being included as they have built it up with a drum ending and they started calling it always on the website, an electric sugar will would be very cool
Sister and I Won't Give It Away will not be on the album, they are Dave solo songs.
#40 has been called "Always" since it was written, I would be shocked if it made the album. And I think a lot of the new songs this tour are leftovers from Stand Up.
Your right about The Idea of You, with a solid set of lyrics, that song will be a hit for sure.

that was a great article. I really liked what he had to say about politics and with the evolution of Charlotsville too, how he liked how it was "alive" and everything.
Also, with the new album, I am definately applauding his attitude with Stand Up. I think he tested this "rush" method and wasn't very into it. Dave doesn't really seem like that kind of person to begin with; to just rush something and not really give it your all. I know I can't know that because I don't know him, I just mean from what he says and how he says it I guess.

I recently watched the dvd part of the Stand Up after owning it for so long. But anyways as long as that cock sucking nig Batson isnt near the band i think they will have a good next album. I mean just from watching the dvd you could tell he was trying to make the band a pop band. I couldnt believe it, then on the dvd all they said was how amazing he is and how hes so talented. What a load of horse shit, that piece of shit should stick to his rap music. I can see why he doesnt want to because the rap industry sucks even more and he probably wishes he was white.

Its very easy to make Batson the scapegoat. More blame should be placed on the band for Stand Up. They had a great core group of songs to make an album around and they blew it. They are the ones who decided to trash those and hire Batson, so its really their fault.

Wow, racist much? Guess you'll be passing on the next album then, because they've said it'll be produced by that colored boy Batson again.

I laughed at the picture.
But as far as the new album goes, I'm getting my hopes up a slight bit. I didn't get into DMB until after the Everyday CD, so I didn't get a chance to really feel the let-down on that one. I'm rather fond of Some Devil, even though its a Dave solo album. I was let down for Stand Up, true, but I think that band is really going to do things more along the way they used to for this next one.

Once we have studio cuts of the new songs, provided we get them, I'm going to make a playlist in iTunes with the best of the summer '06 songs and the '04 songs, as a hypothetical new album.

anyway i cant believe they are bringing that porch monkey back. yeah its the bands fault too but its just so easy to blame the black man. aslong as the band learned from their mistake the next one should be good because we all know batson cant learn.
