Comments/critiques appreciated.

lyrics:

well i've been out walking
i don't do that much talking these days
these days
these days i seem to think a lot
about the things that i forgot to do
and all the times i had a chance to

well i had a lover
it's so hard to risk another these days
these days
now if i seem to be afraid
to live the life that i had made in song
well it's just that i've been losing so long

well i'll keep on moving
moving on
'cause things are bound to be improving
these days, one of these days
these days i sit on cornerstones
and count the time in quartertones 'til ten
don't confront me with my failures
i have not forgotten them
-Brian

great guitar, great vocals...as always. a good cover. the only criticism i have is that i've only heard one version of this song and it was considerably faster. so, i'm not sure how the original version goes, but if it's anything like the jackson browne live album and it's faster, that would be the only thing i would say to change. the rest of it is awesome.

This is just great and it's gonna jump to my iTunes!

I don't know the original version, so this sounds just perfect for me.

Great work!

I love this song, and you did a great job with it. Your voice sounds excellent. The guitar sounds good too but a little out of tune in some places, but maybe that's just me.

really nice :)

great job brian. i'm gonna agree with apps though, i think a lot of the song is that bouncy guitar rhythm it has.

yours gave a completely different feel (which is not a bad thing at all! that's actually really cool!)...i just happen to like the faster version better. haha.

good work man. great cover.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, guys.

I was afraid I might have played this one a bit too slow. During recording, I did a couple takes where I tried speeding it up a bit, but I didn't feel like I could convey the emotional quality that ties me to the song. I guess the more reflective a song feels to me, the softer my approach. Something I should work on, because I really don't think there's a direct relationship there. Thanks again.
