i will do that for him, but it will have to be tomorrow night, i usually learn the songs by numbering the parts and then writing down the order to play them in, so like at the end of all my tab documents, i have strings of numbers like 1122 3333 1122 3333 4444
hey, it works for me
i learned one sweet world out of the live at luther college book, so i dont have tab for it on my comp, but ive been meaning to copy it to it anyways, so with this i can help someone else out in the process

I've always thought it strange when people ask what order a song goes in, cause i've always learned every song i want to learn musically first, then i learm how to play them. I think you should really learn all the lyrics and how the music goes before you learn how the song goes.

I just think that if you are going to learn how to play a song you should wrap yourself in the song and learn everything about it before you attempt to learn it musically.

wow, wasn't aware that #41 was the first song written. I always was under the assumption that the numbers corresponded to order of creation.

so what the hell do the numbers have to do with anything then?? what does #41 have to do with...well, #41  ???

Yeah, Ill Back You Up and Song That Jane Likes are the only songs that there is any controversy to which came first. I think he wrote Jane first but finished IBYU and came up with the lyrics first too so thats why its the first song. As for #40 and #41, they are the 40th and 41st song hes written, he says he numbers his songs in chronological order so I dont know what the hell sense that site makes.

ok i have done it
i did this according to the lost acoustics version, which is really good
if you number the parts like this:
intro - 1
one sweet world... - 2
verse - 3
chorus - 4
take all that we can... - 5
swim naked outro - 6

in this version of the song the intro was not played but that doesnt mean that you cant play if you want to , so the order of play for the song would be

(1) X if y’ant to
2 X 2
3 X 16
4 X 1
3 X 16
4 X 1
3 X 8
5 X 1
3 X 8
2 X 2
3 X 12
6 X as long as you daggum well feel like it

let me know if you have any questions
