Live cut from a friend's band...

Unread post by c_tietze » Mon Sep 11, 2006 1:41 pm

DC5 Live at the Attic, Newton Centre, MA 08.24.06 soundboard grab

Please take a listen and let me know what you think so I can pass along the feedback to my buddies. I especially dig the jam at the end and the bass "solo" (crazy 16th notes) at the 6:09 marker.

Just listened to the whole thing, and I really really like it. Everything about it. The song in and of itself has a great feel to it, the guys play very well together, I love the singers voice, it has a quality to it that I just can't place my finger on, he sounds like someone else. But yeah, good good shit.

Thanks Timmy, I am very eager to offer the band positive (an negative) comments so they can get a gauge of where they're at.

I anxiously await any more feedback, I value your opinions, I mean we're all pretty much into the same genre of music, right?

:)

since i got a personal request to listen...

this is pretty sweet, i wouldnt usually crit because i dont really want the crit boards to turn into "listen to this band im my town!" or "check out my 3rd cousins grandmotherds bridge partners band" etc. I just like to hear from the person that made the music is all.

that aside its a pretty damn sweet song, i love the use of piano and i do enjoy the vocalist, although i wish hed anunciate a little more. The elec solo near the 520ish mark is not the best ive heard and its a little rough going into the breakdown.

theyre damn good though

I liked it very much.

Very full (the keyboards add a lot to the band!).

Vocals are pretty nice too and everything sounded pretty well!

Congratulations.

I thought it was alright. They're definetly good musicians, but I don't know, I just don't really dig the lead singers voice all that much. Good music, just didn't dig it as much as others *shrug*

Thanks for posting it, though

Thanks guys, these cats are dear friends. I wouldn't post shit if I didn't really want people that "knew music" to hear it and give an honest and appreciated opinion. Thanks guys.
