It depends on what you prefer. The first remaster basically just boost the hell out of the treble, which is alright because you can hear somethings you never heard before, but it can get kinda distorted. The second remaster is much smoother, but there isnt a whole lot of difference between them and the SHN's that came out in 2002.

My opinion of the Lillywhite sessions have changed alot recently (especially with the remastered versions.). The music is great, but more amazing; unfinished. I think that DMB was putting in so much effort in this release and we're devestated when they leaked. Maybe they intended this to out-do BTCS and the fact these tunes were leaked just ruined the chance of making another masterpiece. That along with the relationship with Lillywhite himself during this time has been the biggest turning point in their career. Since then, their music has been just a little different.

soo i just read this entire thread.. all 9 pages. very interesting read. my favorite off the LWS is grey street, i love that you get daves huge build up and yell twice!

I've been looking for the .shn files for a while now. Had a PC crash and lost them. Anyone know where I can find them?

I would also appreciate a re-up of the 1st remasters if it wouldn't be too much trouble.
