-MOST timeless dave song.-

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead

I consider timeless to mean that even people who arent hardcore fans will remember and still listen to the music in 20, 40 or however many years. Examples of "timeless" music by other bands:

Under the Bridge - Chili Peppers
Stairway - Zep (I know, I know...but its a good example)
Beatles (pretty much any song)
Eagles - Hotel California

You get the point. Those are timeless in the way that I think of timeless. Taking that into consideration, I'd have to say crash will be the one most people hear in 20 years and recognize. Maybe ants.

Thankfully, people really have lost their obsession with it. Dave hardly plays it anymore.

I wouldn't say that; more like its been way overrated. The other thing is that, other than dixie chicken, there is not a lot of ways you can jam and improvise and make it different each time like you can in Crush, Two Step, and #41.

I always forget the lyrics and forget verses when I play it.

I couldn't tell you, cause I really don't have a favorite dave song (my favorite would probably be the one I think is most timeless). I love them all, they're like children, you love them all differently.

I love more songs over these two, but for just the song itself, the writing, the solos, the lyrics, the meanings, and the two DMB songs that will live forever as long as DMB is rememberd would be:

Ants Marching & #41
Yes, I am in a box
