AdamCU81 wrote:I met Dave this past August. He was coming out of the back of a venue. When I saw him I jokingly yelled out, "Hey Mr. Matthews!!" He replied, "Call me Dave." So he came up to the ten of us waiting to meet him, and shook hands and said hi to everyone. He was very humble, and slightly buzzed. He actually came out and stepped in a pile of dog poo, and once I mentioned it to him, an onslaught of profanities ensued. Then he walked with all of us (the same walk he does when he's coming on stage, laid back and cool) up the alley away from the poo. He signed people's stuff, including my Taylor <woohoo!> and he took three pictures with us. This one girl made an awesome 4ftx4ft oil painting of a tree with the sun for him. He thanked her profusely, and hugged her for at least 30 seconds straight. Then, as quickly as he arrived, he dissapeared to debut the CD Some Devil to industry insiders. Best day ever!

Don't they have an equivalent expression in French or German (which ever one you predominantly speak)?

Speaking of which, I know how to say, "your mother is a whore" in Turkish, but I would never say it in case any members are Turkish.

No, my Dad spent his junior year in college at the technical school in Ankara and became fluent.

I just completed 4th year french last year, so I know a thing or two. You could say: Votre mere etait un chien. Am I close?

It is the imperfect (imparfait) form of the verb etre. It means your mother was a dog.

I dont think adam really is a son of a bitch, simply the fact that he got to meet dave makes him extremely lucky and that pisses me off that I live in the same damn city as dave and have never met him or seen him randomly when so many others have.

Course, I feel sorry for you, because dave hardly ever comes to Oklahoma. My Grandma lives there, though.

Number one, my grandmother doesn't even know who dave is, and two she absolutely hates music where you cannot understand the lyrics when you first listen to them. He's so mumbly I know she'd hate him. Three, she gets uncomfortable with lyrics that have ANYTHING to do with sex or drugs of the like. Hell, she got uncomfortable when I played Don't Let Me Down by the Beatles. The Beatles for crying out loud!
