Alright Im gonna steal this and edit it

Code: Select all

Capo 5

The key for me is have that bass note hit clean on 1 and 3 and never hit the high E string

C/B - x2001x
Am/G - 3x221x or 3x220x
C/G - 33201x (hit C first then G)
Am/E - 00221x (hit A first then E)
G - 32003x
Am* - hammer-on enitre chord

Am C F C C/B
Am C G
Am* C E Am Am/G
F Fm C/G

Verse (Alternate the bass between A and E string)

C/G Am/E
Love of mine some day you will die
            F C G
But I'll be close behind I'll follow you into the dark
     C/G Am/E
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
                      F C G
Just our hands clasped so tight waiting for the hint of a spark

Chorus
Am C F C C/B
If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
Am C G
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
Am C E Am Am/G
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
F Fm C/G(starts the alternating bass again)
Then I'll follow you into the dark

C/G Am/E
In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
             F C G
I got my knuckles brusied by a lady in black
         C/G Am/E
And I held my tongue as she told me son
                F C G
Fear is the heart of love so I never went back
Am C F C C/B
If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
Am C G
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
Am C E Am Am/G
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
F Fm C/G
Then I'll follow you into the dark
C/G Am/E
You and me have seen everything to see
                         F C G
from Bangkok to Calgary on the soles of your shoes
C/G Am/E
are all worn down the time for sleep is now
                     F C G
It's nothing to cry about cause we'll hold each other soon
      Am F
The blackest of rooms

Am C F C C/B
If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
Am C G
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
Am C E Am Am/G
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
F Fm C C/B Am
Then I'll follow you into the dark
      F Fm C
Yes I'll follow you into the dark

the only critique i have about the tab is that the G in the beginning of the verses ie. c/g am/e F C G should be 320033 or even 32003x. ben hits that D note on the B string continuously during that part. other than that,

you mean exactly like the tab says?

C/B - x2001x
Am/G - 3x221x or 3x220x
C/G - 33201x (hit C first then G)
Am/E - 00221x (hit A first then E)
G - 32003x
