Imagine Yourself (kind of an anti-war love song... i was thinking about problems with my girlfriend and what that'd be like in iraq or lebanon... lame i know, but its pretty emotional)
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... B93D341811

Heavy Wings (very rough draft... recorded at 1 am live... about a buddy of mine who can't get over an ex of his)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/s68wui (yousendit was being gay for the second)

i dunno... i'm kinda pumped about the first tune. my sax player takes the jam to a whole other level on both these tunes. i tried to solo on electric on imagine yourself - first time ever. it went ok... not great. a missed note or two. but i won't play that live anyways.

heavy wings - very catchy tune. you have a great voice and the song works well w/ your voice. i really like the little lick between chords, sound great. your guitar recording is a little muffled and bassy but that is honestly the only thing i can find wrong w/ it. great song!

imagine yourself - I love the time signature. It fools you the first couple times. Great voice again, great guitar part. Awesome changes into the chorus, I imagine this song would be great to play drums to. You’re talented dude, no denying it.

what he said. you have a really great voice, and i like the somewhat indirect songwriting. the only thing i can critique is the solo in imagine yourself (you already addressed it though). keep the recordings coming!

Freaking awesome stuff, i love your voice you asshole. I hate people with good voices, makes me sick.

I do love the rhythm in Imagine Yourself.

Pretty good lyrics too. Icing on the cake.

Ok as i keep on listening the lyrics are pretty damn awesome.

The solo isnt horrible, its well written, just played very muddily, nothing rings it just sounds like you have some fat ass fingers.

I CANT GET THE SECOND ONE TO WORK, GODDAMN SENDSPACE NEVER WORKS FOR ME.

Sendspace just isn't working tonight. On the first song, imagine yourself, your voice is sex, I hate you too... Try doing the solo on an acoustic is my only suggestion. Also, how did you mic your guitar? It sounds really bassy, did you point the mic at the soundhole? Try pointing your mic at the 12th fret, that's usually the best place to start. I would bet money you are playing a martin with a mahogany back?

very close, dude. I'm playing a high end alvarez with a mahogany back :). i'm impressed. and yes, the mic is at the soundhole. wow. you guys are too much. i don't know shit about this whole recording process... just kinda play into my nice mic and hope it sounds good haha.

also, i feel like i'm not pulling my weight in this community... sorry! i've been busy - when school starts i'll get to more posting!

Jesus Christ, you're a talented dude.

That song is fucking sick, although just like you said i would cut it down or atleast add a little more variation.

Please keep posting

Hey bro, I listened to Heavy Wings, it's nice, very catch. Good mix, good sound quality, strong vocal, nice guitar licks. Great shit.

guys, your positivity is blowing me away. andy, i had a chance to listen to your stuff. very cool. never know hit me as a pretty intricate progression that didn't lose any listenability and the intonation on your voice was pretty solid. your range seemed pretty low and i think you could get out of that range, but it was nonetheless really good.
