maybe putting down the chet is what led to Everyday! it's a conspiracy! all the songs on ED were written to the Chet! The Lillywhites were about the Chet! Grace is Gone is about losing the SST...how sad.

Grace is Gone is definitely about the Chet! He used to keep it in an ice box...ergo, cold hand lay in mine.

All guitars have their drawbacks, like, ants marching, LIOG, halloween, #40, all sounded awesome on the chet, but I can't really picture it with songs like loving wings, gravedigger, diggin a ditch, really anything more mellow and bassy.

Besides, we all know the Martins are the best sounding!

Thats kinda my point. Look at the first list of songs - with the chet. Look at the second list - without. I'd rather he kept writing more songs like the first set. Now, I'm not saying the second set are bad songs, but dave hasnt written a good zippy happy song since he put the chet down.
