LIOG/12 string

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I'd rather combine forces and pummel fagboy101.

Not to get off the topic of whose getting their ass beat or anything but...

I may have missed it, but Captain was originally a 12er. It's a son of a bitch to play on 12, but it sounds a LOT better. #41 and Pig sound pretty good on 12, too. Anything you wanna take a shot at, go for it. He hasn't done it much in recent tours, but I know Dave used to try different songs out on 12: R&R, GIG (which sounds a LOT better on 12, imho), even Ants at least once.

Does anyone have more info. about the new 12er Dave is playing?

Captain does sounds fantastic on a 12 string, where did you hear that was originally on a 12 string? And the new 12er he is playing is a Veilette Gryphon soprano 12 string, very unique sounding guitar.

I love that guitar. Dave even mentioned before TIOY (or maybe it was Shotgun) last night, "This is a little guitar, and this is a little song."

I think almost everything on Lillywhite was 12-string at some point. If you listen to that version closely, you can hear the 12.

Recently sounds amazing on a 12-string that's the only way I ever play it. Dave or Tim uses a 12-string on the version where he thanks Ron Lesard for donating guitars.
