I'm surprised the rest of the band hasn't gotten on Dave about his voice this summer. It reflects on them as well when he's not performing as top notch as he could - especially considering it's mostly a problem that he can fix, stop f'in smoking.

I can't remember another tour where his voice was shot this bad.

yeah but this isnt even near the end. they got 20 more shows.

listening to the gorge 02 his voice isnt great, but it definitly wasnt as bad as it was last night. im guessing he has a cold or something

He does not have a cold, this is what his voice has been like for this whole 2nd leg.

He has been avoiding them like the plague these past two weeks. That #41 with the Flecktones last week is a perfect example.

I can understand towards the end of the tour getting a little hoarse, but after their three-week break he was STILL not hitting any high notes.

yeah i saw them the day after and dave didnt do any either. during the "lately ive been been feeling low" on jimi thing, he sang it low. but i still think hes been fighting something since the start of leg 2.

that was from blossom aug 2. you can see the towel around his neck. he had it on for the whole regular set.

I thought those were ice towels. It was like 4000 degrees, hence why they cut the show short?

they didnt really cut the show short a lot, just scratched diggin a ditch. the concert went on till 11:20ish

edit: they may be ice towels, either way its the first ive seen dave with one

i must say i enjoy when he belts or screams rather than sing the high notes....like the closing "crash"es in crash into me....instead of being high i like it being belted...

yeah i like the belting too, especially on tracks like what you are and american baby intro. however, i think dropping the falsettos from his arsenal is not a good idea by any means

had the same towel at riverbend. i thought maybe it was due to the sweltering heat. because they changed out the towel every few songs if i remember correctly.
