Ok, I did this earlier for you and forgot to post it. (#41) Even though Jayme has one up, I figure I'll post it anyway since I went to the trouble of recording it. I havent listened to his, so I dont know if its any better or worse, but I am playing all the chords as theyre tabbed on the site. For the verse, I switched strumming patterns halfway through. He plays it both ways, depending on mood or whether or not he's with the band. You should recognize it.

Have at it.

Wow! Two clips!! Thanks a ton guys... the more the merrier :)

Also, does anyone happen to have a tab for the L@LC version of 41? Or is that what the tab on the site is and I'm just screwing up the beginning?

Thanks :)

Back to practice!

you guys would happen to have any hints on the intro strumming for 41 would you?

I think i figured the verse out to be something along the lines of...

pick note, 4 strums, pick note, 2 strums... then on to the next part. I can't figure out what you did with that second part of the verse either. Is it like:

pick, down (palm mute?) down, pick, 3 strums... then on to the next pick

Does that make any sense? :) Any help on the strumming of the intro to 41 would be GREATLY appreciated :)

hmmm. Strumming isnt really something you can think of as
"pick, then four stums." You have to feel it. Dont look at it from a logical perspective. Just keep playing along with it, and you'll get it.

As far as the intro goes, just randomly pick the notes, and throw in a light strum here and there for good measure. Its really not as complicated as you would think.

Right, but for me it's better to get the basic idea(which is sometimes hard for me to get.) I think I can hear the light strums that you're doing in there... That was confusting me too... we'll see how it goes. Thanks again for the music clips guys :)

Hey jsgksu,

I got your version of #41. Sounds pretty good to me. Something in the intro sounds a little off, but that could be that one chord you're talking about.

You're craploads better than me :)

Thanks again-

Is it the sound of a chord or is it the strumming pattern, anyone else know what hes talking about? I like to try to get the songs to sound as close as possible so Id like to know what sounds wrong, let me know. Thanks for the compliment and your welcome, any other songs you need help with let me know, I wont be doing much today till later and would be happy to make a recording for you or anyone else that needs help.

Maybe it's just that I only listen to the L@LC version... That's my fav version of the song that is released :)

Anyways... I thought it sounded great, just something in the strumming in the intro sounded off to me(but again, it's probably cause i'm used to the l@LC version).

Great work :)

Ill listen to it and see if I can pick up on it and maybe try to do a quick recording of it. I know youre in the middle of learning two if not more songs but is there any other songs you want, I actually feel like recording some stuff, let me know, or anyone else for that matter.

Well... I really don't know of anything besides the two you already gave me. But you could just record some for the recording forum, and post up some links so people can critique. THey're probably better critiquers than I am. :)

Thanks again for the two recordings you gave me :)

Yeah but I dont sing or play lead so covers are kind of boring to post. I actually just listened to LALC and picked up on what you meant, I recorded a version that way but its incredibly low for some reason, Im gonna try and mess with cool edit and see if I can get the volume up then Ill post it.

Allright, see if this sounds a little more on: http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/jsgksu/41LALC.mp3 Thats as close as I can come to L@LC after trying it for 15 minutes, seems more like that version than the one I did before.
