LS #40
LS #40
This is my first post. I'm a very young DMB fan compared to most of you. I've been really into the band for about a year now, and its been basically all I have been listening to. I've been playing g uitar for about 3 years, and i have learned 20+ songs through this site. Thanks to all you guys who run it.
I'm posting this about the listener supported #40. I don't know if you have noticed or not, but at about 1:32, if you listen closely some guy says "thank you, thank you Dave."It's funny because he sounds so incredibly grateful.
P.S. I've been reading through this forum, and i like it a hell of alot better than ants.

I know exactly what you're talkin about. You hear it on the cd, but not the dvd, and it's definitely a very grateful guy who probably just got some play from a drunk chick

well in support of your joining the boards and young nature, I'll fill a lil history for you that could explains that man's sincere thanks. #40 debuted in 1995 then disappeared, which fuel a cult following (as well as being by being a great song), that manifest itself by cheering for it, making signs, ect. when it finally came back full in the 1999 tour, alot of fan were dying to hear it, so im sure that guy was pumped he played it at his show, cause with a song like that there is always the risk of disappearing again. Sort of like I would have been if I had got to hear JTR at Randall's, but I now I can't be sure if Ill ever see it. Can't really compain though having seeing cortez and 41/Arjuna, although expected with the line up.

every show we go to me and my sister desperatley hope for a #40. we got a tease last year at the gorge.. and who knows maybe dave would have played it, but he was in Drop D tuning cause crush was the next song.
i would take hearing #40 live over ANY other song, even if it was just 50 seconds long. another Yoshi's length one would be incredible.
does anybody think that the yoshis 40 will get enough votes to be on the greatest hits cd??
