I'm thinkin about puttin a pickup in, possibly a K&K mini. I've heard good things. Maybe gonna put some new bridge pins or something, cause its about time to change strings.

Looks great man congrats, I have the same guitar but with pickups. Just wait 6 months until it starts to open up, you are gonna love it even more (mine is only that old). Also, if you are interested, I tried the new elixir phosphor bronze on mine last week and they really let that thing sing with a big, punchy bass.

ok cool. I was wonderin about strings for this. I have a washburn dread that I always put d'addario phosphor mediums on and sounded great. But elixir phosphor may be the way to go. Light or Medium gauge?dmb66 wrote:Looks great man congrats, I have the same guitar but with pickups. I would stick with mediums on a dread. You will lose some of the volume/bass if you go down to lights.Lbacker wrote:ok cool. I was wonderin about strings for this. I use medium/lights, but I've always used mediums and I must say I think I'll go back to mediums. Also, if elixir is a little pricey for you or you want to try something different, I've had great luck with Martin Bluegrass strings on this one too, even though they lose their punch after a week or so of consistent play.EnFuego wrote:I would stick with mediums on a dread.
