Acid Pro is the name of the software (Sonic Foundry is the company, although I think Sony is producing it now). It's loop-based recording software that is very powerful yet incredibly user friendly. I highly recommend it. The only downside is its cost ($350, although I found it for $150 with a student discount... I don't remember where - it was 3 years ago).

Have you done much with the M-Audio? Mine seems to be way off on latency. Pisses me off. I cant seem to fix it either.
